Oreo Balls have been a Pennington family staple since Abby showed me how to make them. A party favorite, these are great for movie nights, bridal & baby showers, Super Bowl parties, tailgates, and more!
Oreo balls are an easy dessert introduced to me in high school that I was able to make in a college dorm kitchen and has been a staple at almost every family gathering since 2007!
*Bonus - experiment with different flavors of Oreos! The mint Oreos have been a hit in our home!
EQUIPMENT:
EQUIPMENT:
- 1 large Ziploc bag
- 1 cookie sheet or large plate
- 1 large mixing bowl
- Food processor *optional
- Rolling pin *optional
- 1 small Ziploc bag or piping bag *optional
- Scissors *optional
- 1 pkg of Oreos
- 1 pkg of cream cheese
- 1 handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Crush the Oreos into crumbs. You can do this in the large Ziploc bag or in your large mixing bowl.
- Using your hands, smush the cream cheese into the oreo crumbs.
- Once all of the crumbs are sticking together and no longer crumbly, roll the mixture into balls by hand and place on your bar pan or large plate. I like to make them a little smaller so they truly are bite-size, but you can roll these as large as you want!
- Place your balls of oreo and cream cheese into the freezer to chill and set.
- Melt chocolate chips
- Either dip your frozen Oreo balls into the melted chocolate OR drizzle melted chocolate across the top. If you're drizzling and don't have a piping bag, scoop your melted chocolate into your smalZiplococ bag and snip the corner of it to make your own.
- Place back into the freezer or fridge to set.
And that's it! Serve and enjoy! If you give these a try, please let me know in the comments!
Oh wow! These looks way too tasty!! :)
